Version 2.0.6 release notes

We are constantly trying to optimize Filecamp overall performance and to introduce new useful features. We thought you might be interested in knowing about some of our most recent developments.

Speed and Performance
We have optimized the way Filecamp generates and show previews. For those of you who store maybe thousands of large high-res images on Filecamp, this update will be a major improvement!

It's now more easy to add new users
When adding a User you can now let Filecamp auto generate a encrypted password and easily e-mail login information to the User. Read more about Users.

Welcome to the Super Admins
The Super Admin has access to manage other Admin users and access to our new Control Panel; My Filecamp, where your Filecamp subscription can be paid and managed from. You can see who's the Super Admin in your account on the User list (he's wearing a tie). Read more about Users.

Filecamp support is now closer to you
We have added a "Help" link that links to Filecamp support pages directly from your Filecamp account. If you don't like it, you can hide the link or even enter a link to your own support pages from the Branding Control Panel. Read more about Custom Branding.

HTTPS/SSL option
For an additional layer of security you can now choose to run all communications between you and Filecamp encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This is the same functionality used by banks and high profile e-commerce sites for secure communication. Read more about SSL/HTTPS.

More security on all public links
All public links are now encrypted with a more strong encryption algorithm.
NOTICE: Old links are not working any more. If you link to a Public page from your website you need to update the link. Sorry for the inconvenience, we promise not to change these links again for a long time.

Add a link on your logo in the topbar
Let your top bar image link to e.g. your website. Read more about Custom Branding.

IP addresses are now logged
For extra security all log entries are now logged with the Users IP address as well as the Username. Read more about the Log.
