Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse Filecamp’s services (the “Services”) or help anyone else do so. You must not attempt to do any of the following in connection with the Services:
- Interfere with, or attempt to interfere with, the functionality or proper operation of the Services.
- Use any robot, spider, data-scraping, automation, extraction tool, or similar mechanism to access or use the Services, unless expressly authorized by Filecamp.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without Filecamp’s prior written permission.
- Breach, circumvent, or otherwise bypass any security or authentication measures.
- Transmit viruses, malware, malicious or destructive code, or other prohibited items through the Services. Prohibited items include any routine, device, or undisclosed feature, such as a time bomb, software lock, drop-dead device, worm, Trojan horse, trap door, back door, or malicious software routine, that is designed to: (1) delete, disable, deactivate, interfere with, or otherwise harm any software, program, data, device, system, or service; or (2) provide unauthorized access or make unauthorized modifications.
- Distribute content that harms or interferes with the operation of the Services or any third-party network, server, system, or infrastructure.
- Use the Services for phishing, fraud, impersonation, or other deceptive activities.
- Access or use any part of the Services that you are not authorized to access or use.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to gain unauthorized access to, or attempt to discover the source code, structure, technology, or software used to provide the Services.
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Services or shared areas that you have not been invited or authorized to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt any user, host, or network, including by overloading, flooding, spamming, mail-bombing, or transmitting malicious code through any part of the Services.
- Access, search, or create accounts using any method other than Filecamp’s publicly supported interfaces, including scraping or creating accounts in bulk.
- Send unsolicited communications, promotions, advertisements, or spam.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent storage, bandwidth, download, usage, or other service limits.
- Use the Services in a manner that imposes an excessive or disproportionate load on Filecamp’s infrastructure. This includes unusually high bandwidth consumption, excessive concurrent downloads, repeated or automated downloads, or large-scale distribution through public share links.
- Publish, store, or share material that is unlawfully pornographic or indecent, depicts extreme acts of violence, or promotes terrorism or terrorist activity.
- Violate any applicable law, including by storing, publishing, or sharing material that is fraudulent, defamatory, misleading, invasive of another person’s privacy, or infringes the rights of others.
To protect the Services, Filecamp’s infrastructure, and other customers, Filecamp may apply reasonable technical restrictions, rate limits, download limits, or temporary suspensions. Filecamp may also restrict or disable public share links or other activity that causes excessive resource consumption or threatens the availability, performance, or security of the Services.
