16 DAM Platforms Compared
How Much Does Digital Asset Management Cost?
Digital asset management software can cost anywhere from $29 per month to tens of thousands of dollars per year, depending on the platform, number of users, storage, features, implementation requirements, and support. The problem is that DAM pricing is notoriously difficult to compare. Some vendors publish their prices. Others require a sales call before revealing even a starting price.
To make things easier, we checked the current pricing and pricing models of 16 digital asset management platforms in August 2026.
This comparison includes both affordable self-service DAMs and larger enterprise platforms. Where a vendor does not publish its prices, we say Custom quote rather than relying on unofficial estimates.

How much does DAM software normally cost?
There is no single “normal” DAM price.
Broadly, the market can be divided into three groups.
Affordable and self-service DAM software
These products generally publish their pricing and let companies start without a lengthy procurement process.
Examples include Filecamp, Air, Dash, Pics.io, Stockpress, Brandkit, and Kontainer.
Pricing can start below $100 per month, although storage, AI usage, additional features, or higher plans can push the actual cost considerably higher.
Mid-market DAM software
Mid-market products tend to cost more because they offer larger storage allowances, more advanced workflows, additional integrations, onboarding, or dedicated account management.
Some publish prices. Others use custom quotes.
Enterprise DAM software
Enterprise vendors such as Bynder, Brandfolder, Frontify, MediaValet, Aprimo, Acquia DAM, and Adobe Experience Manager Assets generally do not publish a standard dollar price.
This does not necessarily mean the pricing model is unreasonable. Enterprise implementations can vary substantially depending on users, storage, security, integrations, migration, support, and governance.
What determines the cost of DAM software?
When comparing DAM pricing, the monthly subscription is only one part of the calculation.
Number of users
Some platforms charge according to licensed users or seats.
Others use alternative models, such as monthly active users or flat-rate subscriptions.
This can make a significant difference when a DAM needs to be available to an entire organization, outside agencies, clients, or partners.
Filecamp, for example, includes unlimited users on all plans.
Storage
DAM libraries can quickly grow from a few gigabytes to several terabytes.
Some platforms include a fixed storage allowance. Others price storage separately or incorporate it into a usage or credit model.
When comparing DAMs, look not only at the included storage but also at the cost of adding another 100 GB, 1 TB, or more.
Bandwidth and downloads
Storage is not the only capacity cost.
If thousands of people regularly download high-resolution images, videos, or marketing materials, bandwidth and download allowances can matter just as much.
Some DAM vendors include generous or unlimited bandwidth, while others base part of their pricing on downloads or usage.
Features and modules
A low advertised starting price does not always include everything you need.
Features that may only be included in higher plans or sold as add-ons include:
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Advanced permissions
- APIs
- Brand portals
- Workflow automation
- Proofing and approvals
- AI features
- Adobe or Canva integrations
- Custom domains
- Reporting
- PIM functionality
When requesting DAM quotes, make sure you understand exactly what is included.
Implementation and migration
Enterprise DAM systems may involve implementation, configuration, data migration, metadata work, taxonomy design, integrations, and user training.
These one-time costs can sometimes represent a significant part of the first-year DAM budget.
DAM pricing comparison: 16 platforms

1. Filecamp pricing
Starting price: $29/month
Pricing model: Fixed monthly plans
Users: Unlimited
Storage: 20 GB on Basic
Setup fee: None
Free trial: 30 days
Filecamp is one of the lower-cost DAM platforms in this comparison.
The Basic plan costs $29 per month and includes 20 GB of storage and unlimited users.
Advanced costs $59 per month with 50 GB of storage, while Professional costs $89 per month with 100 GB and additional features.
Filecamp also offers custom branding, granular access management, branded file sharing, and client-facing portals.
Because all plans include unlimited users, the subscription price does not increase simply because more colleagues, clients, or partners need access.
Additional storage can also be added separately, so you do not necessarily need to upgrade your entire plan just because your asset library grows.
Best suited to: Small and mid-sized organizations that want affordable DAM, custom branding, and unlimited users.

2. Bynder pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Customized subscription
Users: Pricing influenced by user count
Storage: Customized
Free trial: Demo available
Bynder does not publish a standard starting price.
Its pricing depends on factors such as the number of users, storage requirements, selected products and modules, integrations, and support needs.
That makes Bynder more difficult to budget for without contacting sales, but it also allows larger organizations to configure a package around more complex requirements.
Best suited to: Mid-sized and enterprise organizations requiring a highly configurable DAM ecosystem.

3. Brandfolder pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Customized packages
Users: Paid users plus guest access
Storage: Customized
Brandfolder does not publish fixed dollar pricing.
Prospective customers must contact sales to receive pricing based on their requirements.
Brandfolder is aimed primarily at larger marketing and brand teams that need advanced asset organization, brand management, analytics, and external distribution.
Best suited to: Larger marketing and brand teams needing advanced brand asset management and distribution.

4. Canto pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Team size, storage, and capabilities
Users: Customized
Storage: Customized
Canto does not currently publish standard pricing.
Its pricing depends on factors such as team size, storage requirements, and the capabilities needed.
That means potential customers generally need to contact Canto before they can accurately compare total costs.
Best suited to: Established marketing teams wanting a mature DAM platform with guided onboarding.

5. Frontify pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Monthly active users
Users: MAU-based
Storage: Customized
Frontify combines digital asset management with brand guidelines, templates, and broader brand management functionality.
Its pricing model is based on monthly active users rather than simply charging for every licensed seat.
Frontify does not publish standard dollar prices, so buyers need to request a quote.
Best suited to: Larger brands combining DAM, brand guidelines, templates, and brand management.

6. MediaValet pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Customized configuration
Users: Unlimited
Storage: Customized
MediaValet does not publish a standard starting price.
One notable difference from many enterprise DAM platforms is its unlimited-user approach.
This may be attractive to companies that want broad internal adoption without paying separately for every employee who needs access.
Best suited to: Mid-sized and enterprise organizations that want broad DAM adoption without per-user pricing.

7. Aprimo pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Products selected and number of users
Users: Customized
Storage: Customized
Aprimo is positioned toward larger companies with advanced content operations, workflow, governance, and digital asset management requirements.
Pricing depends on the products selected and the number of users, so customers must request a custom quote.
Best suited to: Enterprise organizations that need DAM as part of a broader content operations platform.

8. Acquia DAM pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Customized enterprise pricing
Users: Generous or unlimited tiers
Storage: Customized
Acquia DAM, formerly known as Widen, does not publish standard dollar pricing.
Pricing depends on factors such as company size, users, storage, and feature requirements.
It is primarily positioned toward larger organizations that need enterprise-level asset management and integrations.
Best suited to: Enterprise organizations, particularly those already using products within the Acquia ecosystem.

9. Adobe Experience Manager Assets pricing
Starting price: Custom quote
Pricing model: Enterprise pricing
Users: Customized
Storage: Customized
Adobe Experience Manager Assets is part of Adobe's enterprise Experience Cloud ecosystem.
Adobe does not publish a standard starting price.
The product is designed for large-scale asset management and content delivery, typically involving more complex implementation and integration than lower-cost self-service DAM platforms.
Best suited to: Large organizations already invested in Adobe enterprise products or requiring sophisticated content operations.

10. Air pricing
Starting price: From $25/month
Pricing model: Credit-based
Users: Unlimited
Free option: Yes
Air combines digital asset management with creative workflow and AI functionality.
Unlike traditional storage-based DAM pricing, Air uses credits that can be consumed by storage and AI-related activity.
This means buyers should look beyond the starting subscription price and consider how many credits their actual asset library and workflows are likely to consume.
All plans include unlimited users.
Best suited to: Creative teams that want DAM, review workflows, and AI tools in one environment.

11. Dash pricing
Starting price: From $109/month
Pricing model: Storage and downloads
Users: Unlimited
Storage: From 10 GB
Dash offers transparent public pricing and unlimited users.
Its pricing increases mainly according to storage and download requirements rather than the number of users.
This can make budgeting relatively straightforward for teams that know the approximate size and distribution volume of their asset library.
Best suited to: Small and growing marketing or creative teams that prefer transparent pricing and unlimited users.

12. Pics.io pricing
Starting price: From $100/month
Pricing model: Tiered subscriptions
Users: Depends on plan
Storage: Hosted storage or bring your own storage
Free trial: Available
Pics.io publishes its pricing and offers multiple plans depending on users, storage, and functionality.
One unusual option is the ability to use your own existing storage infrastructure rather than moving everything into vendor-hosted storage.
This may make it attractive to teams already using services such as Google Drive or Amazon S3.
Best suited to: Creative teams that want transparent pricing and flexibility around storage.

13. Asset Bank pricing
Starting price: From $8,949/year plus setup
Pricing model: Annual packages
Setup fee: Yes
Free trial: Available
Asset Bank is one of the more traditional DAM vendors in this comparison that publishes clear annual starting prices.
Its pricing starts considerably higher than self-service DAM platforms, and setup fees apply in addition to the annual subscription.
However, publishing prices upfront makes initial budgeting easier than with many enterprise DAM vendors.
Best suited to: Organizations with larger DAM budgets and strong requirements around governance, permissions, and asset control.

14. Kontainer pricing
Starting price: Approximately $500/month
Pricing model: Tiered and customizable
Free trial: 30 days
Kontainer combines DAM functionality with optional Product Information Management (PIM).
It publishes pricing for its standard packages while some advanced features are available separately.
That makes Kontainer particularly relevant to organizations that manage both digital assets and structured product data.
Best suited to: Organizations that may eventually need DAM and PIM functionality in the same platform.

15. Stockpress pricing
Starting price: $99/month
Pricing model: Storage-based subscriptions
Users: Unlimited
Storage: From 200 GB
Free option: Yes
Stockpress offers public pricing and unlimited users.
Its entry-level paid plan starts at $99 per month and includes 200 GB of storage.
This makes Stockpress particularly relevant to smaller and mid-sized teams that want broad access without paying for individual user seats.
Best suited to: Small and mid-sized teams looking for straightforward DAM pricing with unlimited users.

16. Brandkit pricing
Starting price: From $99/month
Pricing model: Usage-based
Users: Unlimited
Brandkit combines digital asset management with brand portal and brand toolkit functionality.
Its pricing is based largely on usage rather than individual user seats, and plans include unlimited users.
Buyers should pay particular attention to how usage and overages are calculated when comparing Brandkit with DAM platforms that use fixed storage allowances.
Best suited to: Organizations wanting a combined brand portal and DAM with unlimited users.
What does DAM cost for 10, 50, or 100 users?
User-based comparisons highlight one of the biggest differences between DAM pricing models.
Consider Filecamp's Professional plan at $89 per month.
Because users are unlimited, the base subscription remains $89 whether you have 10, 50, or 100 users.
| Users | Filecamp Professional | Effective monthly cost per user |
| 10 | $89 | $8.90 |
| 50 | $89 | $1.78 |
| 100 | $89 | $0.89 |
Storage requirements can increase the total cost, but adding users does not.
For custom-quote products, it is impossible to calculate a reliable 10-, 50-, or 100-user cost without obtaining a quote.
That is why we have deliberately avoided inserting unofficial enterprise pricing estimates.
Frequently asked questions
Final thoughts
The biggest lesson from comparing DAM pricing is that the headline price rarely tells the whole story.
For smaller and mid-sized organizations, publicly priced platforms make it possible to compare costs before speaking with sales.
For larger organizations, enterprise DAM platforms can provide deeper customization, implementation, integrations, governance, and support, but usually require a quote.
The right DAM is therefore not automatically the cheapest one.
It is the platform that provides the functionality you actually need at a total cost that remains sustainable as your asset library and organization grow.
Filecamp starts at $29 per month with unlimited users, custom branding, and a 30-day free trial.
